The need for a break tank in a booster unit

In principle, Elpress always offers booster units for your industrial cleaning system in combination with a break tank. This prevents water with additives from the business process being able to flow back into the water mains.

A so-called ‘water lock’, for example in the form of a break tank, is increasingly becoming a requirement. But Elpress also advises installing a break tank in situations where one is not required. The main reasons:

    • Prevents the back-flow of water containing additives (i.e. chemical) to the water mains.
    • You comply with legislation, now and in the future.
    • Constant supply of water
    • The investment is limited. This is outweighed by the risks you run by not having a break tank.
